The Golden Honey Mixture

Turmeric can be used for more than adding color and flavor to your food. This mixture of turmeric, black pepper, and raw honey is a powerful tonic that can support your joints and more when you need a little extra support.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon turmeric powder

7 tablespoons raw, organic honey

1 pinch black pepper

(optional) 2 tablespoons raw apple cider vinegar

(optional) 1 tablespoon lemon zest

Directions:

Simply mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl, then transfer the mixture to an air-tight container for storage. It can then be refrigerated and stored for up to two weeks.

To help support immune responses and help the body defend against seasonal threats, it’s best to consume a tablespoon daily. When used to prepare a cup of tea or warm tonic, one teaspoon can be added to a cup of hot water and consumed during the day.

For those with occasional indigestion, it is better to drink this before a meal to make sure the curcumin is safely transported through the gut for optimal absorption.
