Easy DIY Soup Recipe for Optimal Immune Health Support

Just because seasonal threats appear to be more common when the weather is cold, doesn’t mean that winter is the only time your immune system needs support. A warm bowl of soup might be perfect on a cold day. It can also help nourish your health and promote healthy immune activity through every season.

It just so happens there is a delicious and perfect soup for every occasion, and it is very simple for you to make. It keeps you warm when you need it, keeps you full of nutrients, and gives your immune system the backup it needs any day of the year.

The Soup for All Seasons: Ginger Garlic Soup

It doesn’t have to be cold outside to nourish your body. This soup provides powerful support for your immune system with key ingredients that can deliver health benefits for every season, promoting your health, all year round.

Ingredients:

2 cloves garlic, peeled and finely diced

7 cups chicken stock or broth (vegetarians can use vegetable stock)

4 finely sliced green onions

50g grated root ginger, finely sliced

1 finely diced hot chili pepper

Chopped or whole mushrooms

Directions:

Put the garlic, onions, mushrooms, and ginger in a large pan and sauté on a low heat for a few minutes.

Add the stock and continue to boil all the ingredients. Stir gently until all of the ingredients become very soft.

You will add the chili pepper last and then stir for another five minutes.

Serve the soup while it is still warm, with lemon water to improve your digestion and deliver some additional antibacterial effects.

Power Ingredients: The Two G’s

Ginger and garlic are the two key ingredients in this healthful soup. Both are packed with flavor and have long been used in traditional medicines.

On their own, they each provide numerous health benefits that contribute to the overall well-being of your mind and body. When combined, they can help support your immune system so that it is better able to defend against everyday threats.

Ginger

Ginger is among the healthiest spices in the world and has long been used in traditional cultures. Not only is it full of wonderful nutrients, but it also helps support immune health.
The key compound, gingerol, is responsible for many of these benefits, such as:

♦ Promoting the body’s natural ability to heal
♦ Helping to reduce occasional oxidative stress to promote joint health
♦ Promoting stomach emptying to support healthy digestion
♦ Helping to reduce occasional nausea and bloating
♦ Helping to maintain healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels
♦ Supporting arterial and circulatory health
♦ Promoting healthy immune cell activity
♦ Supporting brain cell function for optimal cognitive health

Garlic

Allicin is the compound in garlic that provides its health-supporting properties. Garlic, too, has long been used for more than just flavoring food. Ancient civilizations relied on the beneficial ingredients of garlic to support health and well-being, and today it is often used to:

♦ Provide essential nutrients such as fiber, manganese, vitamins B6 and C, and it’s also low in calories.
♦ Support immune system function to help defend against environmental threats
♦ Support healthy arterial health and proper blood pressure
♦ Help maintain cholesterol and triglyceride levels within a healthy range
♦ Help reduce typical oxidative stress to support cognitive function

The Bottom Line

Your immune system is always working to support your health and defend against everyday threats, not just during the winter. With an easy DIY soup recipe like this, packed with the powerful benefits of ginger and garlic, you can give your body the support it needs year round. This dynamic duo adds the right amount of flavor and all the support your health needs, every season.
